Alan is happy to undertake free work at events within 50 miles of CA7 3BJ, which are being run for non-profit charitable organisations. For events further afield, travelling and accommodation expenses will usually need to be paid.

This will be my third time participating in this brilliant event that takes in 25 miles of roads around Carlisle, it’s a fantastic day out that does the job of bringing in a huge stack of cash to help fight one of the most terrible diseases that affects us today.
Every year each rider has the name (or names) of someone close to them written on the number we wear as we ride. It’s a sobering thing to see these names on a group of over sixty riders, everyone knows someone who has been affected by Cancer, you will too I’m sure.
I’m riding again for my Mum and Dad and my sister in law, Frank, Dorathy and Margaret Whittaker who lost the fight with Cancer and for my mother in law Anne Bailey who is still fighting.
